The Anime Convention 2008

Anime Expo, abbreviated AX, is an anime convention that usually takes place on the July 4 weekend for four days each year in Southern California. The convention tries to include July 4 in its dates, except on the years when July 4 falls on a Wednesday. Anime Expo is hosted by the non-profit Society for the Promotion of Japanese Animation (SPJA). SPJA has also held Anime Expo conventions in New York and Tokyo, which took place in 2002 and 2004 respectively. Anime Expo has frequently collaborated with the anime industry, and as the convention has grown, so has the visibility of Anime Expo's industry sponsors as evidenced by their towering presence throughout the convention site.

The Convention for 2009 will be held from July 2nd to July 5th, 2009 at the Los Angeles Convention Center in L.A.

2008's convention was held in Los Angeles at the Los Angeles Convention Center, and it went a lot better than everyone had expected. The attendees in our hotel were Sable, Alex, Aimee, Tanya, Kori, Justine, and Sophie. Everyone stayed for all four days, and we walked back and forth from our hotel, which was The Holiday Inn, to the Nokia Theatre and the Convention Center

2007's was in Long Beach at the Long Beach Converntion Center where Sable, Alex, Aimee, Tanya, Justine, Jen, and John stayed in the Reniassance Mariott hotel and attended for all four days. It was totally worth it, even though everyone was underage we still had SO much fun, and we can't wait for 2008.

2006's Anime Convention was in Anaheim where Sable, Aimee, Sam, Lorraina and alot of other people from SSHS attended. It was a blast.
